How to calculate if each flange has its own individual weight

How to calculate if each flange has its own individual weight?

Japanese standard flange weight formula: (outer diameter * outer diameter - inner diameter * inner diameter - aperture * aperture * number of holes) * thickness * 0.617 * 0.00001

The work in flange design in our country basically began in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China. At that time, the so-called flange design work mainly used standard flanges, and specifically adopted the national standard of ROAR flanges in the former Soviet Union. China has formulated the first set of flange standards I-IC_i 5D1---5028-58 for pipe flanges, followed by the joint development of - TH 3009 by the Ministry of Chemical Industry and the Ministry of Machinery Industry- The flange standards include the "5 Continents Equipment Flange Standard" and the flange standards such as the "f B-9D-59L Pipeline Flanges and Gaskets" developed by the First Machinery Department. These standards are actually just a copy of the original Soviet Union flange standards.

In the era, China adopted the calculation method of Zakharinko from the former Soviet Union's TY 510 in the design of high-pressure pipe flanges for synthetic ammonia plants. The promotion and application of flange design methods for pressure vessels in China began in the 20th century.

In the early years, flange calculations often used the V4Taters method and the former Soviet Union's Nine T method. Later, the Ministry of Chemical Industry issued the "Design Regulations for Steel Chemical Vessels", in which the VTaterS method was selected as the flange design method. Since then, the Waters method has dominated the flange design of pressure vessels in China's petrochemical industry. In the 1880s, China formulated the first national standard for casing flanges based on the international standard draft I51I 705I1, namely UI3 I13 ^ -913-19 $8. This set of flange standards includes flanges belonging to two systems in the Americas and Europe, and accordingly adopts the Waters method and the German nINA flange design method for national standard flange strength verification. For non-standard flanges, the results obtained from different flange design calculation methods are not the same.

Therefore, which flange calculation method to use for flange design is a topic of great concern and in-depth research. For standardized flanges, the flange design calculation method is only used for strength verification, and the size of the flange will not change. The current national standard for Japanese standard flanges in our country is fully equivalent to international standards, and is completely consistent with international standards in terms of flange type, structural dimensions, etc. The flange dimensions have international interchangeability. However, in terms of flange materials and applicable pressure temperature levels, they are calculated based on the performance of domestic materials and certain design methods according to international and foreign standards. Therefore, it is still necessary to conduct corresponding strength calculation and analysis on the flange strength in national standards and whether the connection sealing requirements can be guaranteed.
